Install the New Version of Microsoft Edge for Windows

Microsoft has released a new version of its popular web browser, Microsoft Edge Stable 114.0.1823.67, which offers the latest features and quality updates to users. As with any software update, it is essential to understand what changes are included in this release before installing it on your system.

I recently installed this new version on my Dell Inspiron 5584 laptop running Windows 10 Pro v22H2 build 19045.3324, alongside Microsoft Defender v0.1004-0.1005, Malwarebytes Premium v4.6.1.280, Macrium Reflect Free, and Firefox v117.0.0. Although I was initially annoyed that the Google Docs Offline extension was added to my MS Edge browser without my permission, even though it was disabled by default, removing this unwanted add-on resolved the issue.

You will be presented with license terms/EULA; accept these and download the installation file. If you are concerned about data collection or other privacy issues, it may be wise to uninstall MS Edge using a tool like Revo Uninstaller.

While I don't use MS Edge frequently, having it installed on my system provides me with a reliable backup browser for testing purposes. Therefore, if you're looking for an alternative to Firefox or Chrome, Microsoft Edge is definitely worth considering.
